How it began...

Today was the most beautiful October day you could imagine. The sun was shining & it was actually warm enough to put on my blades... so away I went. I did my normal route from my place down through Steveston, to Garry Point, along the dike to 3 road and back! I had my ipod on and for some reason today, even the sad songs couldn't get me down. The people I passed today all seemed so content and smiled as I passed them. It happened so many times I started counting. By the time I got home I had exchanged smiles with 18 random strangers.

Sometimes it's the little things in life that really count and I'm starting to realize that. I've been reading a lot lately and have been really inspired. So inspired, in fact, that I want to share it with you. So I started a blog. For gratitude, inspiration, and enlightenment.

Why then, I wonder, do I feel stupid writing this blog? I'd probably feel more comfortable blogging if I was going off in a rant about something. Actually, I'm pretty sure I would. It's sad that as a society we approve more of complaints and rants than praises and gratitude. There is not enough positivity in this world. So this blog will be my [small] part.

  1. It may be a small part but at least you are doing your part. 18 smiles today but maybe 20 tomorrow. little by little the world can change and more positivity can happen. Keep it up Jen. One person can make a difference.
