Tenderoni!

This weekend was a great escape up to Whistler with friends for Cornucopia, a food & wine festival. It was a great time, but as always, it went by way too fast.

The most exciting part, however, was something a little unexpected for most of us. After we finished our delicious 3-course dinner we began to walk to the "Crush Gala." Brandon asked me if I could take a picture for him and Andrea so Carlos and I followed them through the rain til we got to this huge tree in front of the Hilton. It was lit up with sparkly blue lights. Carlos and I both took a picture of them, and Brandon says, "wait, let's get one more." Then he gets down on one knee and proposes to Andrea!!!!! Stunned, Andrea says yes and they start to kiss. Carlos, who was too focused on taking a great photo was completely oblivious to what just happened and says "What the hell is this, a make out session!?" I explained to him what just happened and we were excited to be the first to congratulate the happy couple!

We then headed to Crush Gala with a great reason to drink wine and celebrate!

Congrats you guys!!!!! <3 <3

PS. I'm taking all the credit cause I planted the seed ;)

YES HE DID!

It was with great pride that yesterday I got to witness such a historical day. The event that occurred was one that captured the world's attention including my own.

I don't know a lot about politics, but what I CAN tell you, is that no matter if you sided with McCain or Obama's political policies, in any case, you should consider Obama's win a Victory.

Today somebody said to me that they didn't understand why everyone is going nuts thinking he is this huge monument of change. They asked me, "what is going to change?"

A black man is president. That is change.

It wasn't so long ago that African American's couldn't even vote. Now people are voting for an African American. That is change.

Obama is a People's President. He doesn't just represent all the black people in the United States. He represents every minority group there. He represents any person who has been oppressed. And he represents all the caucasian people who believe in justice and equality.

He represents Hope, and he's given it to the people.

He represents achieving your dreams, because he has achieved his.

and he represents Change, because he has already created Change.

Obama put it the best when he said "If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer."

If you can't see at least THAT Victory in this election, open your eyes.
